Damp Proof Membrane
Double S ® Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) is 100% Polyethylene foam with a high-density polythene laminate. DPM is designed to provide a moisture-resistant membrane used in concrete flooring. The membrane is applied above or below a ground floor slab to stop ground moisture reaching the upper surface of the floor. DPM is used under a floating floor as well as under a screed. Polyethylene insulation materials have better sound-insulation, sound absorbing, and heat insulation properties. •

Importance
A DPM plays a crucial role in building construction and is primarily used to prevent moisture and water vapor from migrating through walls, floors, and other structural elements of a building. This insulation material’s importance lies in its ability to protect the integrity of the structure and improve the overall comfort, durability, and energy efficiency of the building.
Damp Proof Membrane
Double S ® (DPM) not only has high compressive strength and a long life expectancy, it is extremely flexible therefore they are able to deal with structural movement thus providing a long lasting damp proofing solution.
